ASUS N61JQ Sticky palmrest what do you put on it?

this is a strange question 

I have a ASUS N61JQ but the palmrest has that rubber coating my question it is now Sticky  and I could spend 20.00 or more for another used one but I have seen where there not any better 

So my question is what can you put in the palmrest if at all to remove the sticky residue was thinking baby powder but that would be a mess 

Any ideas ? should be interesting to see what comes up

and more thing I was able to replace the i5  with a i7 720Q Processor one thing I did notice on the web camera with both processors it is sluggish meaning when I move the image is slow moving is that normal?
