I am having continuing issues with a RT-BE92U and 3 ZenWiFi XT8 mesh units scattered around the house (1x hardware version 1 and 2 with hardware version 2)
All are on the latest firmware and all have been factory reset since the upgrade
I have multiple issues with tickets open and wanted to see if others have similar issues
First issue is with trying to set up tuya devices ... I use my phone to do the setup .. set the tuya device into pairing mode, its picked up on to the network as it stops flashing but set up does not complete because when the app on the phone tries to completes the setup switching back to house wifi its connection goes into a connected to the wifi (showing the asus network as connected) but shows "no internet connection". The setup times out before the internet gets re-enabled (this varies between a few minutes and 10 to 15 minutes).
Next issue is that there seems to be a cascading disconnect where a bunch of smart devices will go off line .. one goes off then a bunch more follow - these are typically wifi connected power monitors but are different brands (shelly, tasmota, meross and tuya).
Next issue is when I restart the network .... if I restart the network multiple devices keep going off line / on line in a repeating loop. After a number of steps to narrow it down it seems that the mesh and router start arguing about which device is closest and which one should handle the connection. I have left it for 2 hours and its still going ... if I power off the mesh units, allow the router to stabilise the devices that are within range then turn on the mesh units one by one its fine.
As part of the problem determination process the support team asked me to remove the zenwifi devices to see what happened ... all seemed stable on those devices that were within range but I need the mesh to reach parts of the house. When I tried to re-add the mesh units back after a few hours of testing they would not re-connect - Just came up with the generic error after a few minutes of the progress bar increasing its % done." Two of the mesh are wired and one wireless. I even brought all three near to the router and connected them with a patch cable one by one but still the same. I factory reset each mesh and then the router but no change. I did a problem report and waited for feedback. I tried again the following day they all reconnected without an issue. Support eventually came back and said they could not see any issues in the log ..... I guess the log writing code needs attention as well
I am beginning to think that purchasing ASUS network devices was a big mistake....

Hi - Many thanks for your reply
As I mentioned in the post I already have tickets open with the support centre.
As these issues have been with me since the initial install and, despite 2 firmware updates on the router and one update on each node, the situation has not really improved, the purpose of my post was to see if other people were getting the same issues.
I am trying to decide if I should stay with ASUS while issues are solved or if I should just return the equipment to the supplier as not fit for purpose and get my money back .. its now been 6 weeks so my level of frustration is growing and my tolerance for waiting is very much diminished.
I previously has an ISP supplier router (sky) and a BT whole home wifi setup with 5 nodes around my house. The install has been rock solid with the odd issue that required a reboot every few weeks but that was all.
The reason I switched to a new ASUS setup was two fold - first the BT Whole home set up is quite old and second, the sky router would only support 47 reserved addresses but I needed more.
The new ASUS network comprising one router and 3 mesh nodes has sucked my time with constant issues of devices going off line impacting smart products. Things don't turn on when the should because a switch has dropped off line.
I have turned off one of the nodes and the stability has improved but I have some devices off line because they are out of range of the router and other nodes.
To answer some of the questions you have asked
I run a smart home setup and have around 120 devices - sockets, lights, sensors, phones and PC's attached to my network.
Firmware details:
RT-BE92U Version : 3.0.0.6.102_37563-gd9d520d_1134-ga7154_BB0B
Nodes (1x hw version 1, 2xhw version 2) - ZenWiFi AX Version : 3.0.0.4.388_24710-gf758fa3
Two nodes are hard wired (1xhw version 1 and 1xhw version 2) and one node (hw version 2) is wireless.
The issues have been there since the start.

Hi.. thanks for trying to assist. as I already mentioned I have a ticket open with support (E25040050750-0036) so I am already working with the support team.
as I again mentioned the purpose of the post was to see if it was just me with issues.. and maybe my setup is different to most.. or if other people had similar issues.
