I have this asus router as secondary router connected to the internet which is my main router my issue is why is that when I connect my wireless devices, the IP address given is not from the asus router starts at 192.168.50.2-254 but from the main router and the IP pool starts at 192.168.1.2-254? Please help

It sounds like you have accidentally set up a double NAT. Which of the two do you want to handle DHCP assignment? You should set up the "main router" to Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough if Bridge mode is not available...

That happens because your ASUS router is running in Access Point mode or has DHCP disabled. Enable ‘DHCP Server’ under LAN settings or switch the router to ‘Router Mode’ so it assigns IPs from its own 192.168.50.x range.
