Account password not accepted

1) Asus router android app didn't accept password.

2) Reset password on PC browser.

3) New password generated

4) Successfully log out and back into website with new password

5) Asus android app doesn't accept new password.

6) When attempting to change password again in browser, Asus website's account management doesn't let me change PW because my current password is wrong, even though it's the password I logged into acct mgmt with.

7) Come to ASUS support to find my support is crowd sourced instead of ASUS paying people to deal with their BS.

1) the password is set during router setup for the web GUI 

2) just factory reset the router and set it up again manually

3) it's only BS if you make it such with empty spaces from a copy when applying the password in the web interface

Did you try the router user and password as alluded to by @Alex52 ?  Sometimes it mistakenly asks for the ASUS website user ID and password, when it is really asking for the other one.  (Luckily there are only two to try).
