CMOS fault if PC turned off overnight, Red/Amber flashing lights in the morning until CMOS cleared

Hi Guys,

I have a really strange issue with my Pro Art Creator board and would welcome any comments or suggestions. The board work fine initially. Then, one morning it failed to boot and Red (CPU) and Amber (RAM) LED warning lights began to flash alternately. I checked the CPU and RAM and reseated them followed by clearing the CMOS. I then left the computer alone for a couple of hours, after which it posted as normal. I was able to turn the computer on and off all day with no issues. The following morning the problem was back and I had to go through the clear CMOS and wait all over again. I then replaced both the CPU and RAM with new QVL approved components. The computer booted and worked for 2 days before the issue reappeared. I cannot understand how leaving the computer off overnight can result in the need to clear the CMOS each day? Asus has checked the board and claim there is nothing wrong it and it must be the CPU or RAM? How can it be? once it boots it works fine - until the following morning, bearing in mind I have installed two CPU's and two different sets of RAM both of which comply with the ASUS QVL list.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on what to check?

Hello @yogi620

Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delayed response.
Could you kindly confirm which specific ProArt series motherboard you are using, as well as confirm the model of your installed CPU and the part number of your RAM? For example, an i9-14900K and F5-6400J3239G16GX2-TZ5RK.
When the system fails to boot, aside from the Q-LED indicators, do any other status lights turn on or blink? If possible, providing a video of the issue occurring may help us better understand your situation.
Regarding repair and diagnostic details, as they involve personal information, I have reached out to you via DM. Please check your inbox at your convenience.

Thank you.
