I got my unit out of the box and set it up with double NAT because it is hard to rearrange all my nodes. I set up a unique SSID with SmartConnect and WPA2/WPA3-Personal. It seems to be running fine. Is there some kind of test you know that I may replicate your issue?

I have had this router for some time, and it worked perfectly until I upgraded to the latest firmware (3.0.0.4.388_24436).

After the upgrade, the WiFi internet started losing packets and became very unstable; requests are timing out. I have full signal strength, so that is not the issue.

When I downgrade to earlier firmware versions, everything works fine again. So there is definitely something wrong with the latest firmware.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with the newest firmware?

If a factory reset and re-installing the newer firmware doesn't correct the issue, use the web GUI to set defaults and install the latest firmware again. Then, temporarily set the router up in AP mode and then back again to router mode without using any saved files for setup.

If none of this works, use the web GUI report feature to contact ASUS with the new firmware installed.

I'm going to have to pull this out of the box as I put it away. Any reason a double NAT would be of concern while I try to recreate this?

I tried several factory resets, but didn't try to reinstall the new firmware. I will probably wait for the next firmware release to try again. I'm happy with the current working setup. I wrote here to check if someone else also experienced a similar issue.
