Hello ASUS Community,

I recently developed a Morse code learning website that displays real-time signal animations, flashing indicators, and interactive visual elements. While testing on systems with GPU acceleration enabled, I noticed occasional stuttering, delayed animations, and inconsistent rendering. The issue becomes more noticeable when multiple animations are active at the same time, even though CPU usage remains relatively low.

In addition, some users have reported screen flickering and temporary visual artifacts when interacting with the website. These problems do not occur consistently across all devices, which makes me suspect a possible GPU driver, hardware acceleration, or browser rendering compatibility issue. The website works significantly better when browser hardware acceleration is disabled.

I would like to know whether there are any known ASUS GPU settings, driver optimizations, or compatibility considerations that could affect browser-based graphics rendering. Has anyone experienced similar issues with websites that use Canvas, CSS animations, or WebGL? Any recommendations for troubleshooting or improving GPU performance for web applications would be greatly appreciated.

Since the information provided mainly describes the behavior observed on a website, we are currently unable to determine whether the issue is related to the ASUS device, graphics driver, browser hardware acceleration, or the implementation of the website itself. Please provide the ASUS product model, browser version, graphics driver version, as well as the website URL and detailed steps to reproduce the issue, so that we may further investigate.

Any recommendations for troubleshooting or improving GPU performance for web applications would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that the browser rendering layer is probably one of the first places I should investigate more closely, especially since the issues seem tied to hardware acceleration and only appear on certain systems. Using Chrome DevTools (or similar browser profiling tools) to monitor rendering performance, GPU compositing, paint events, frame timing, and WebGL behavior should help determine whether the bottleneck is coming from the website itself, the browser, or the graphics driver.

What makes troubleshooting difficult is that disabling hardware acceleration often improves stability, which suggests there may be an interaction between the browser’s GPU pipeline and specific graphics drivers or hardware configurations. I'll spend some time profiling the animations and rendering workload to see if there are any excessive repaints, compositing issues, or GPU-related warnings. If anyone has encountered similar browser rendering problems on ASUS systems or found specific driver settings that improved stability, I’d be very interested to hear about their experience.

No sweat...I know an online friend that lives on the other side of the country from me and he does a lot of this stuff. He works about 36 hours a day but he had a look during a break at what i sent him from you posting and he took a few minutes and went through it. Heres his reply below>>

Quote: Once you’re digging into paint events, compositing, frame timing, and GPU pipeline behavior, you’re looking in the only place that can actually give you answers. The fact that disabling hardware acceleration improves stability is the giveaway: you’re hitting a browser‑side bottleneck, not a hardware or ASUS‑specific issue.

If your profiling shows excessive repaints, layout thrashing, or the GPU compositor stalling, that’s your smoking gun. ASUS settings won’t fix that — but tightening your animation pipeline will.
