ASUS Event Steam Code cannot be redeemed

Participated in the ASUS Event for a free Steam game. Received the code via email and proceeded to redeem in Steam but faced with errors. Tried to contact ASUS Support but their server is busy. Tried to email them but got rejected. Very frustrating and disappointing support.

Oh well, it seems that ASUS sure know how to treat it's customers. Guess you can't rely on them for rewards. Very disappointing customer service.
