Because Asus wants to sell you new phones. And, to do that, they will never give major Android updates to force us to buy their new flagships. I switched to another brand and don't regret. Already on A11 months ago and the promise to have A12 (which they will deliver).
-
My tablet, Samsung Tab A with S Pen, received Thursday A11. Released also in 2019. Asus makes fabulous flagship phones, but its software support it's the worst I seen before.
-
To be honest, just with a new phone, possibly from another brand. I made the switch and I don't regret.
-
I also did not suffered from hardware problems. My battery life was good, no restarts, blackout. But, the lack of updates (including the Qualcomm serious problem) and the lies about 2 majors android updates made me switch to another brand, which I do not regret at all.

I've replaced my Rog II with Samsung S20 Fe. Samsung software support is light years ahead of Asus. Since I bought it I had update every month, including A11 (remember, this is a 1 year phone, not a new flagship). Even my tablet, A8 with S Pen, received more updates (2) this year than Rog II. Even being a gorgeous device,…

Nice, but I switched back to Samsung (S20 FE), and now I am with Android 11 and February security patch. Next time, Asus team, lear With Samsung to have more respect with your consumers.
-
Pixel is not sold here in Brazil... And Samsung has a excellent service care in Brazil.
-
Even this update is real, we will never see Android 11, as promised by Asus 2 major Android updates. That's why I'm switching back to Samsung, they are light years ahead in case of updates and consumer support.
-
Even my device working fine, I am replacing for Samsung. Asus lied to us saying that we would have bimonthly updates and 2 major Android updates. I am just waiting for my new device to come (Galaxy S20 FE) to say goodbye and hoping new owner stay happy with it (she doesn't care about updates as I care).
-
The date is: 31/02/2022.
-
We do not have bimonthly security updates anymore, do you really think Asus will release Android 11 to older (and, by the way, dead) devices?
-
Rog Phone II is a wonderful phone. But the lack of support and updates is a key factor for me not buying another phone from Asus. And people, come on! Asus will NEVER release Android 11 for its previous devices. We don't have bimonthly updates, do you really think we have major OS updates?
-
Short answer: never.
-
To sell Rog 3...
-
We never asked to a fixed date for updates. All we want is... the updates! Simple as that.
-
I will be using my ROG II until it dies. After that, I will buy Samsung, Asus support and update are a joke. Even my tablet, Samsung Tab A8 with S Pen, receives more updates than my ROG II.
-
"When We will Get Android 11 Update" Never. Rog I got just one major update, why do you think it will be different with Rog II?
-
People, don't be naive. With ROG III released and IV in the oven, do you really think Asus will spend time and money in older versions? Just look at ROG I, only 1 major Android update, ROG II will be the same. I love this phone, but with all kind of neglect from Asus, if happens to me having to exchange phone for any…
-
Forget about it. Since Rog Phone 4 is on route, do you really think they will be looking for older versions?
-
Here in Brazil nothing yet.
-
I never faced the restart problem (I'm on the latest update from Android 10). But, in my case, I never installed Facebook app (I use only, and rarely, in browser; just add my account to my device to get contacts) . This could a point to be addressed.
-
Together with A11 update...
-
I think A11 will not be released to Rog II. Just to try to force us to buy Rog III.
-
Ghost touch is always a hardware problem. You must get your device to your nearest service center and let them take a look. I had this problem, but with my old iPhone X, and only screen replacement solved it.
-
I don't know if this is a bug. To me is more of a feature. In my opinion, it's bit of annoying, but I would consider a (serious) bug if I could use my phone without biometry or screen password after awakening screen using power button.
-
Updated. But I don't have any app to update in Google Play Store to check if this annoying bug... So, I installed any random app and CPU temperature and frequency are normal now. Thanks Asus, my love for Rog Phone II is shining now. :-D
-
In my case, when I update my apps I clear storage and cache from Google Play Services and Armory Crate and reboot my device. Everything backs to normal using this (annoying) ritual... Let's hope Asus devs doesn't take much time to fix this issue. It's really unacceptable this kind of basic bug...
-
My 0.02... I updated my device and I'm suffering from high CPU temperature and huge battery drain. I've followed instructions on how to clear Google Play Services and Armory Crate. All went fine until I updated some apps. Boom, this bug reappeared (I felt my device warning up). But, to my surprise, when I opened Armory…

In some devices I saw in Jerry Rig Everything's YouTube Channel, this is plastic used between the glass panel and cellphone body (like in this video, starting at 2:12: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oYdq6ri6eg ). I don't know if this situation can produce any damage on your device, if you unsure of that, I suggest yout…

I don't know if a project failure, since I can use my phone while charging (in my laptop or charger) without any kind of issue. Maybe (again, maybe), could be some devices affected by this problem. Years ago I bought a Lumia 920 that some devices (including my brand new one) were affected by a camera problem, which simply…
