I could shut it down only with volume down + power combo. Now it's back where it was yesterday.

Made the password reset. But before, after resting overnight, when rebooting it passed the stage from yesterday (Android and Republic of Gamers logo with Snapdragon logo on the bottom), emited the "whoosh" sound. Second Rog logo (with the fish) appeared, the bar keeps running from left to right. It's stuck here

To boot into safe mode is impossible. Press volume down + power, android logo and ROG logo appears, the phone vibrates and then everything starts from zero. I can press power + volume up, enter boot loader, select recovery mode. I have option to reboot, restart boot loader, erase phone and power off. I have erased the…

Maybe I wasn't clear. The phone cannot boot. The process is interrupted and starts from zero indefinitely. I can enter recovery mode (power + volume up) but cannot boot from there. I cannot boot into safe mode (power + volume down). The phone vibrates and then starts to reboot again.

The phone has be factory reset and keeps rebooting. The booting process is interrupted and starts from zero. Which means it doesn't start up at all. I can't change anything.

Once again I am really sorry. I worked for me several times. Always using high % quality alcohol and waited long enough to evaporate.
-
I am really sorry! This was not supposed to happen. Maybe you can restart it somehow. In safe mode or something.
-
I hope it works out fine!
-
No idea what went wrong! I am very sorry. Alcohol evaporates and only thing that falls to my mind is that you started the phone before it evaporated. Or you made some mechanical damage inside. I wrote initially to be careful.

This is absolutely through the roof and I believe it's a hardware issue. Without the cooler and playing for long hours non-stop on X-mode set to max my phone reaches max 46 C.
-
I can play Asphalt 9 for 7, 8 hours straight. X-mode settings and AirCooler set to max. The phone heats up to 40-42 C very fast and it stays there for hours without any glitch or drop in performance. It charges fast at the same time. In these conditions my Note 8 would heat up like crazy and glitch the same. Every hour I…

Also I have no issues with heating, freezing etc. I have A10 latest update. So it sounds like a hardware issue
-
I have done it myself. Turned off the phone. Cleaned the jack with 70% alcohol. Waited 10 minutes to be sure everything is dry. Started the phone. All is fine. Videos attached.
-
This should not be the case. Medical 99% alcohol evaporates within seconds. If you were careful damage was impossible.
-
This is my story as well.

Besides India and China are biggest markets by far. In my country which is in population the size of one neighborhood of Bombay I don't know if there are even 10 phones present. Maybe some other enthusiast like me who really wanted it.
-
Fully agree with that. Also Samsung Note 8 and 9 had 3.5 mm jack and ipx rating. Note 9 was the best phone they ever made. After that they started to follow stupid trends from Apple, including price policy. Rog was the last resort of a phone that really makes sense.

In my opinion all phones should be the same regarding accessories (plugs, cooler, 30w charger) and only be different in ram/storage. I believe people in India would pay some more to get that in the box. Accessories are always cheaper bundled than sold separately. That would have prevented many complaints about charger,…

I don't have it as well. Must be ZenFone only

Welcome. No further idea from me. Just the info from other places.🙂

Yes you would just need to know the frequency of footsteps. I found this on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/PUBATTLEGROUNDS/comments/9buaza/sound_frequency_of_foot_steps/

I don't have any BT earphones to avoid radiation due to health issues. For me it was just a matter of bad physical connection. Didn't happen on Rog but it did on other phones after some 2 years of usage. I do a lot of sports. My phones sit in the back pocket of my jersey exposed to sweat (salty moisture) for hours. Also I…

Here are the screenshots of all my settings. Be sure in display to turn anti aliasing off! With that option on my game was a disaster! Huge frame drop and crashing always on same ramps in races! Also inside the game put display setting to performance and not default.

In my case the problem was in connectors inside the metal jack of the cable. So just a little left or right or up-side down could make the connection. I confirmed it by plugging that side of the cable into the charger and connection would in that case got lost at the charger and not the phone. The wire itself is fine🙂
-
It happened to me on other phones. Connections inside headphone jack got dirty. Take some thin stick, wrap it in cotton put some medical alcohol on it and clean the port inside. Be careful! Also wipe headphone jack with alcohol

Charger or cable would give problems on both ports, as in my case. A faulty cable would not work on any port and any phone. I tried mine also on my wife's phone and it stopped charging there as well. So I believe krkaran 12 is right.
-
In my case it was the cable. Couldn't charge on both ports. If you have constant connection and disconnection when you plug in the cable (the charging icon comes and goes all the time when you move the cable in the port), then it's a great chance the cable is the problem.

On mine Netflix was preinstalled!
-
Then buy it! I love mine!

I believe it's a hardware issue. Motherboard or else. My phone can heat up to 46C and still go on without performance drop for hours. And with cooler on at max X-mode settings 40-42C is normal and it just blows Asphalt for hours. I'm on A10. On A9 it was actually 1 or 2 degrees warmer. My only hardware issue was the cable.…
