It's an hardware issue, not a software issue. If it would have been a software issue Asus should have fixed by now, it's already been 5 months since the launch. Also there is no official response from Asus, if this is a software issue and can be fixed, why is Asus hesitating in fixing it or even talking about it.

Woah!! That's bad. This should not have happened, Asus should have tested every aspect of the phone properly before releasing. I hope it is covered under warranty and can be replaced.

Yes mine too and it works, I faced the similar issue with Yahoo mail and found out that my Yahoo mail was not running all the time.

If your Whatsapp is always running and you have everything enabled then you should receive notification, but if you are still not receiving notifications then the last option would be check your network connection. No, did not change anything within Display settings. Yes, it showed up after latest FOTA. I don't have any more information now, if I get anything else will update here.

You need to set the launcher as default app in settings. Go to Settings >> Apps & Notification >> Default Apps >> Home App Select which even launcher you need to apply

Rog have better battery but definitely not screen. OnePlus screen is far better.
