Your batch might be a newer version after Asus launch in India. I heard there is a dispute on the name "Zenfone". So probably Asus just removed the name on the new batch. Good thing is, yours might be more resilient from the ram dump issue..just my speculation :) -

Yes still under warranty. So it is free of charge. Bought it from shopee. An online E commerce similar to AliExpress, ebay etc. The repair was fast too. So I would not complain much because the service is good.

Sorry to hear you still have the issue. I decided to sent to service center. They replace the board and everything work as it should now. Now I still on Android 11. Will stay on this version for the time being.

Set your router to only wifi4 mode. Set to only 802.11n and use 2.4GHz band.

i have isolating our problem and open fresh post here I hope Asus team can ratify about router compatibility issue. I'm still testing but things will get easier if Asus technical team can chime in and confirming my finding 🙃

I have the exact problem that you describe. Exactly the 6th month after I purchase it behave like that. I was hopping android 12 solve this issue. Have you try update to android 12?

the only reason i buy zenfone 8 is because the screen size is less than 6 inch and has high end hardware. So in my opinion there is no alternative if you are like me which wanting less than 6 inch screen size. Wait, maybe you want to consider the flip fon like Moto Razr? P/S: I'm not an iphone fan. So only look on Android.

I got this ramdump issue yesterday. What I did, I just press the power button and hold it until the screen turn off. Then press again the power bottom to turn on. Good thing it able to boot fine to Android. I'm lucky it able to recover.

Currently I'm facing random restart due to WiFi not able to switch on properly. I really hope next firmware upgrade to Android 12 fix this. I also read other user had to RMA and change the board due to similar issue. It was a very good phone until this problem happen to me.
