Hopefully get volte support on this update on at&t otherwise the phone is pointless to upgrade to android 11, because what good is software if I can't even use my phone as a phone. I like asus products, but their long term support/customer care is lacking.
Same... Can't use a phone as a phone because asus won't fix it. Have ROG 1 also which should be updated. $2000 on phones that won't work as phones. I don't expect asus rog 5 to be successful given the 1-3yr old rog series phones are practically ignored. Not happy about tossing $2000 out soon because they didn't update them…
I'm awaiting volte support on at&t to be able to use my phone as a phone. The ROG 5 phone seems worse based on a tear down. Split battery decreased strength. They put a ton of cables in the 5. Asus should get their first few models updated & provide support before making more new generations of the phone. I wish they'd…
I'm waiting for at&,t support for volte in U.S. Asus is terrible for support...make expensive high end devices then stop support for it. I still have the 1st ROG phone a family member uses. Terrible the company doesn't have better support. Not buying another one...looks like 5 is the worst in recent teardowns. Not as…
I agree $1000 phone 512gb storage & 12GB ram next to worthless in a yr or so. Not buying something they don't want to support for the price. Most don't or won't function properly as a phone because of lack of volte or vowifi support. I'm waiting on at&t support. Yet you can do mods to get it, but don't want to risk Causing…
I want the phone to work as a phone. Had 1st one & now the 2nd one. Neither getting regular updates, it is a $1000 phone, I'd expect support for 3-5 years given its brand & reputation. Also would expect Volte & vowifi in the U.S. for at&t. While t-mobile has gained partial support. The phone really doesn't support many…
I'm done with asus I think... 1st one very few updates, 2nd one same issue. Between 1 & 2 neither support at&t volte or vowifi. $2000 spent on 2 phones & neither will work as a phone because of carrier requirements soon. They lack network coverage bands. They need to release new model 2-3 years apart & focus on customer…
Haven't tried but interested. If you do, like to know how it works & if cell service & messages & battery life remains good. I haven't done any rooting/mods probably since early touchscreen phones came out, but when I did they either helped with phone functions or made service worse.
I have at&t & t-mobile sim, mine disconnects from t-mobile. But the other day I had to change apn for some reason to get my data back. Although my 1yr straight talk at&t plan did expire that day, but I had 1 month plan already in place for continuous service. Need volte enabled on at&t. I haven't had any luck with t-mobile…
I have no overheating or battery life issues, my only issue is random lockups. I have to press the home or appslist button & re-enter the app. It isn't often to be terrible or anything, was much worse for me prior to update. The previous update did have overheating & battery issues. Latest update thats not an issue.
