I think even auas know at this point that, they couldn't fix this. All they talk about is reducing the issue. They launched 144hz just to brag about a number and they messed up the most important aspect about a phone... Which is display. Most games support 90hz. They should have stuck to 90hz and should have used better…

Hardware or software... This is the worst performing display. It is spouse to be OLED but it can't even do it's basic thing. Show black colors. So far Asus is only making problem worse and I don't see any improvements. And then the lack of communication suggest that there is something Shaddy going on.

I don't much about OLED and IPS but this looks pretty bad when you see it every morning. It looks like bad TN panel backlight bleeding.
  • GameOjas
    Nope buy OnePlus

I think everyone understand what you mean by accessories. They just chose not to answer it because one they don't have a good answer for it nor they know when they will launch or if India will even get any accessories at all.

Same I have black crush issue on all the refresh rate also.
  • GameOjas
Does screen actually have the ability to change refresh rate? If yes, then why we are still seeing black crush on 60hz? Since everyone is saying only high refresh rate screens a facing this issue. I think it's not a software issue. It's more of a issue with the display panel itself.

For me it's not a reply at all. It's like saying. Here we gave you some big numbers, so stop complaining about screen not being a screen.

OnePlus is replacing phones with black crush issue. And one of the mods previously said that black crush will never go away fully. When will Asus start a replacement policy for devices facing this problem.
  • GameOjas
Then whatever you are talking about here doesn't mean anything. There is no replacement policy by Asus for customers facing the black crush issue. While OnePlus have one. Stop spreading misinformation. Some might think you are lying too. Can I get a replacement or not ? Let me guess, you don't know. You are just trying to…

    How can I get a replacement ?
  • GameOjas
My cousin and one of my friend also bought this phone right when it went on sale in india. And they both got there phones replace by OnePlus in July.

If the technology isn't there for high refresh rate why did Asus take our money and why we have to pay 50k to beta test there product for them. We must be living in upside-down world now. I think most AMOLED screens used in phones are made by Samsung... And making AMOLED screens is same as making cookies in a way...…

I don't know how time I have debunked this fake news. That OnePlus did nothing. I will do it again. Asus should stop making fake news and work on solution. If you google " ROG phone 3 black crush". this is the result we get. Now if the issue is resolved... Maybe it's just my phone has a faulty display. And you have no…

10k phone has a screen which works properly. Where you can watch, play content with decent color reproduction. Where screen looks like a screen not blunder at low or high brightness Has a screen which doesn't look like playing Minecraft while watching a video Screen that doesn't have ghost touch issue. Screen that has good…

In .70 version there is red tint on lowest brightness 10% to 40% is only useable brightness. Any lower or higher is worst display every. If you just buying to play some games sure. But if you also like to watch YouTube a lot or Netflix then big no.

We doesn't have to accept anything. If Asus is not going to provide a solution for this. Then we have consumer court. Screen is the biggest factor in smartphones, if a phone doesn't have good screen no matter what components you put in it .. the end experience is going to be bad.
  • GameOjas
I don't know which phone use which technology. Someone told me here that OnePlus didn't do anything with their black crush issue. Which was just not true. They provide their customers with solution. With recent updates they changed the color values and I can tell you, the colors look a lot different in games. Sure it is…

I never met a single real buyer who will be okay with black crush. OnePlus did the right thing. They offered repair, replace or refund.
  • GameOjas
That is such a wrong attitude about living.. just keep living with all the problem, like they are new normal. ... Sure we should accept what we have but we should always inspire to be better. Black crush screens are not even a step back in AMOLED technology. It's just straight up faulty screens. I just can't imagine people…

As much as I love almost everything else about ROG phone 3. Black crush is never acceptable part of AMOLED screens, I never experienced it on my Samsung phone or OnePlus 5 and I bet you will never find this issue on apple phones. So are we going to get a screen repair or replacement or refund ?
  • GameOjas
Are you seriously telling us the ROG phone 3 panel is better than OnePlus and Samsung . Samsung is the best OLED display manufacturer. Their Exynos are the worst chip right now in phones. Don't be a sellout. If there is something wrong with a product admit it and try to find a solution for it. OnePlus has one of the best…

I don't want 144hz with cheap color reproduction. I would rather take 90hz display with good colors and not black crush issue. I bought ROG 3 for snapdragons 865 There are no good game that can support more than 90hz anyways. Asus just for the sake of using 144hz as a marketing gimmick. Totally burned the ROG phone brand…

Omg 😱 I don't see any black crush issue after the update. Is it just me? Edit: never mind it's still fcuked Low brightness 0% - 20% : reddish screen but almost no black crush Medium Brightness 30% - 65% big black crush High brightness 70% to 100% way less black crush but a lot more grey. It has to be the OLED panel…

Yes batman trailer is best benchmark for black crush issue. Batman fighting evil in 2020.
  • GameOjas
It's banned as of now in India.. Asus is smart, they don't wanna put petrol on fire 🔥.

We want replace or repair.... If you asus can't fix the issue. We want our money 💰 back. Forget the 10-bit HDR AMOLED... it's not even a decent screen... Even phone with 10000 Rs have better screen.
  • GameOjas
At low brightness you can see the black crush on .58 latest firmware. Not matter which refresh rate. And it doesn't even go to as low brightness compared to other phones This is a screenshot from youtube video If I send this screenshot to other phone.. OnePlus 5.. there is no blackcrush I can see all the colors.
  • GameOjas
Doesn't matter which refresh rate.... Black crush is there on low brightness... And phone doesn't even go to low brightness compare to other phones. We buy phones on first day trusting the brand and this is how they treat their most enthusiastic and loyal customers. Asus must come up with solution fast.
