I would think the phone has its own throttling to control the temp. Just like how you would slow down during a run when you feel tired and speed up when you feel more ready to go agian.

sounds like yours was flashed. using the ROG version, didnt have any of the issues that you have mentioned.

its definitely slow as now im taking almost 1 hour and it only went up say about 30% from 30 to 60. previously it would have gone up at a much faster speed
