Hey,
I just bought a new Samsung monitor that has 144 hz refresh rate and 2k resolution. It has 2 HDMI and 1 DP ports.
My laptop got only 1 HDMI port. And I don't know how much bandwidth can it send to the monitor. I can't find any info about the HDMI port version of my laptop.
I bought a nice HDMI cable which supports 48 gbps. Even with it my monitor shows 60 fps max in 2k. I'm sure it supports 120 hz on HDMI ports.
So my question is is there any way to connect my laptop to my monitor and get 120 hz at least. Or maybe if I buy an active HDMI to DP converter and use monitor DP?
Since Nvidia only supports G Sync on Display Port it's so weird that my laptop does not comes with a DP output.
How to connect X571GT to a gaming monitor and get higher resolution
