Updating from .407 to .424

Model Name:ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M1
Firmware Version:.407
Rooted or not:NO
Frequency of Occurrence: EVERYTIME
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): NOT AN ISSUE WITH APP
In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.

I Have downloaded the file and placed in root folder,after restart the system update file got detected and started applying patch and very after 20% automatically device go into recovery mode

Phone not detecting 424 file...file is not corrupted...and also done clearing cache data of fota service....not helped...what to do??? Currently on 407 version

Reconfirm the following:
1. Is the file placed into the internal storage? (Don't put into any folder)
2. Are you certain you didn't interrupt the file while downloading?

Do you have an external SD card?
In that case I recommend you to place the file in the external storage. Reboot to recovery (switch off your phone first, then simultaneously hold Power off and volume down button for some seconds)
Select Apply Update from external storage (SD Card) and choose the file.
