As per my experience with asus i got same issue with my zenfone 3 a year ago and i can only say that if ur problem is not CID (customer induced damage) than they may replace your module for free as your device should not be damaged anywhere and yes remember to take pictures of your device before taking your device to service centre that would be helpful for you to check ur device when u go for pickup if it is same as it was

But if the device is out of warranty they we may have to pay for it. Still I am not convinced how all of a sudden so many users are facing this issue after the .70 update

I was out of warrenty and they fixed it for free as it is not damaged by customer and a hardware failure u can read warrenty covering instructions on RMA receipt u ll see that

Wouldn't it be easier if we come to know the actual reason? Like the focus thing issue is due to the 0.70 update and hence it has caused hardware issue blah blah blah..? Like if we get the details for it I'm sure people will understand and try not to ask this again and again. I have seen so many post about it. If we get confirmation on the hardware issue is due to the 0.70 update then people will be aware and they'll try giving their phones for repair

I must say you that software or update doesnt cause hardware issues there may be something triggered inside motherboard or camera module which is real cause for any failure also i want to tell u that after updating software and suddenly seeing issue is nothing than a coincidence
N yes i can see that there are lots of users who are facing similar issues but i want to tell you that there are various diffrent batches of devices produced at diffrent levels so may be some batches are getting issue at a same time
