Video is not enough, you should post URL of that post for others to test exactly the same page:

Has that less expensive redmi phone exactly the same Android and webview versions? If not then you compare pears with apples.

...in combination with that particular post which contains some rich formatted text (probably the result of copy paste operation).

The link you mentioned is the one.
And I didn't mean to say that zenfone 6 is bad or like that but it's just that it had problem loading that page compared to redmi phone.
Redmi phone has android version 9 and webview is up-to-date in play store but I am not sure of webview version.

Does your phone loads the page smoothly..?
No.
Action after clicking to the expand button in this post is as slow as in your video.

My other device with Android 9 hasn't such an issue with that page.
It will be interesting to try the same page on ZF6 after the firmware or Chrome update.

Feel sorry for this guy, now that's really slow. I would suggest this guy not to use Chrome anyway as it's a resource monger. Further, Google has stopped supporting lots of goodies features in Flags like disabling ntp-articles and etc.
Coming back to the point. It would be unfair to comment on Chrome lag as I stopped using Chrome ever since Google disabled the tweaks mentioned above. That said I did face major lag issue on overall phone's performance on update prior to the current .153. The current 153. seemed to have fixed problem in RAM management.
Let's see only how it performs. Hey there buddy try Firefox Preview, it's an excellent and secure browser - must try the add-on.
