Android phone doesn't need antivirus its useless. Just make sure you dont download apps from unknown sites or any apps that is not available in play store. Only apps can steal your personal data in android. And android phone don't have any virus and doesn't exist . But there are some malware which can get in your phone if you download something from unknown sources.

What you are talking about thats called "PUP" or Potentially Unwanted Program such as apps from unknown sources.
But what about "Web shield"? Don't you consider a threat pop-up as a security concern for your Android device which could cause malware attack or stealing browsing history/cookies when you are browsing through sites on Chrome or any other Web Browser apps?

But what about the "Web Shield" protection?? Don't you consider a phishing attempt occassionally happens through unwanted pop-up openings on your web browsing app such as Chrome during surfing through different web links, which could easily collect your Web browsing histories or stored cookies? Thats hazardous for any device, not just Android.

Web shield protection is only protect and restricted you to visit malicious websites. You should know how to handle with pop-ups.and why should you visit to these malicious websites?only these type of pop ups happen in porn websites and piracy websites such as modded apps and games and movies websites.you should know how to handle with these unwanted pop-ups.and use only chrome browser.you can try adguard or any private DNS to filter unwanted ads on websites.and now talking about browsing history and stored cookies, everyone knows google is stealing our everything.
