I went into stock recovery to wipe cache partition. I was greeted with this error.
E:couldn't load bitmap fill_ball (error -7)
Supported API: 3
Cache partition wipe and reboot were successful. But just want to shed some light on such error. I have two Max Pro M2 in my house and both showed the same error. Both are running on latest firmware (.073). Please note that my phone is NOT rooted and bootloader is NOT unlocked.

Everyone sees that error and so far no one has any resolution onto this error. Not just Max series phones but in all other Asus phones, this error shows up in Recovery Menu if you perform Wipe partition cache operation. And it has no impact on phone performance.

Hi there, thank you for highlighting the same. We have made a note of the feedback and will share it with the relevant team.

Hello there, I'm facing the same issue. Any suggestions on what i can do?

Powered off the device for an hour or three, and booted it back up without a problem. Factory resetted it initially but that did not help (lost all my data for nothing 😕 ). Eventually it boot normally after a while of power off. Hope this helps somebody in anyway possible.
