Zenfone 6 camera problems

So My ASUS Zenfone 6 freezes the camera image when i try to flip the camera. and after about 15 seconds its back to normal. The rotation works, its just the image that freezes. It also does this in every app that uses the camera including the stock camera app
I called asus support and they suggested I do a factory reset which i did and it did not help
Anyone have a clue?
