ROG Phone 2 heating issue

Ban

Hi,
I noticed that my phone is warmer to touch lately. The battery drains faster too.
I noticed that my CPU temperature is high - it ranges from 60-69 degrees Celsius. I don't even play games on it much. I've also used the power master feature and kept the phone optimized.
Just browsing through the phone system drains about 3% of the battery in just 5 minutes use.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I just bought this phone 2 months ago - it didn't have this problem before.
Here's a picture of the Armory Crate to show the temperature.

I am facing similar issue .. i dont know what to do.. i brought the phone online..
No store opened because of lockdown.. 😞
Wasn't expecting such degraded performance 😞
I am thinking that android 10 update is making it do so.. no issues with android 9 ..
Overheating in normal basic work.. frame drops in pubg.
I tried factory setting reset.. no improvement till now about overheating..

I am seeing heating issues and battery drain during normal usage like media consumption, forget about gaming! This has all started after Android 10 upgrade. There is degradation in performance for sure and asus needs to send a fix soon!!!!

Update:

I got a message from the store where I bought the Rog Phone 2 from. They said they couldn't find a problem with the phone and they will return it. Plus I have to pay 80$ nzd because there was no fault found. I will receive the phone a bit later due to the lockdown.

This is frustrating! It's obvious that the phone has issues. It could be hardware because the problem persisted (high heat + fast battery drain) even with factory reset. I remember that I had 21 minutes screen time from that phone and I had 4 hours left of battery (from full battery charge). 4 HOURS!! Seriously, what phone has 4 hours battery life?!

I'll run another test when I get my phone back. I can't believe this phone can have many issues.

Also, The store said that the guys who assesed my phone was from the manufacturer themselves (I'm assuming ASUS). Seriously, I bet ASUS didn't assess my phone well.

This is nerve wracking. Your phone obviously had some issues plus paying a price for getting your phone diagnosed is just nonsense.
As far as I know, no one has to pay any charges if phone is under warranty.
And if there is some price that could be need for diagnosis, it is always told beforehand.
I think store is charging you unnecessarily.
@Ban My recommendation is to get your phone to an official service center once the lockdown period is over.
And 80$ Nzd is just way excessive, I bought Asus 30W rog charger and a Samsung Earphone that cost me less than 60$ Nzd. I can definitely say that they have not checked the phone at all.
@Ban We all sometimes get stuck with bad unit, my unit suffers from red tint which I'll get checked after lockdown.
Your original post was from 14 March, 20 days is just a lot of time for diagnosing nothing.
Please keep us updated.
