Why red tint is still present after A10 update?

akhilj66

I and many others have reported this issue.
I want to know whether it can be fixed by software patch or it's an issue with my unit, in that case I'll need to take my phone to service center.
Please respond, I need answers.

The degree of red tint is different between panels. If yours is very red, then go to service center after the lock down has ended and let them determine if it's within warranty or not.

Dude oneplus 7pro/7t has green tint I've literally seen complaints about the tint on their telegram group and it's quite widespread

I'll attach some links and screenshot below

So yeah all high Hz devices have some form of display tint

The pixel 4 xl has tint too btw

The severity of it depends on your phone

If it's too much you can try your luck at the service centre but if you want to get rid of it 100% sorry that's not possible pal as it's an hardware thing on oleds.

I am worried even if they replace my screen, I can end with worse tint than before. Still, I'll let them have a look.
Btw do you know if S20 has similar complaints about tint as it also has 120hz panel.

I read that article, they are offering return and have agreed to the problem publicly. We don't have any such statements from Asus, do we.

Well it depends on the "severity" of tint on your particular phone,if you think it's too much just go to a SC if they think it's an hardware thing they'll offer you either a display change or a replacement
But if your tint is normal it wouldn't matter if you get another unit as all phones will have some form of tint
So don't expect to magically get a new unit which doesn't have tint

There is a forum in xda developers website regarding s20 tint, the left one is note 10 with 60hz panel and right one is s20 with 120hz
@akhilj66 please check for panel replacement at service center and notify us if they are willing to change it. We would like to change our's too for better Grey's at low brightness
