Andriod 10 manual update (UK)

Hi all,

Firstly thank you ASUS team for your hard work and also during this virus spreading across the world.

My question and issue is, ofcourse the FOTA could take a few weeks so I decided to do a manual update. I have inserted it into my root directory but the phone does not pick up the update at all even with several reboots. I then renamed it to "UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-17.0210.2001.70-1.1.97-user" as suggested by someone on this forum and it picked up the file and asked me to update, as soon as I press OK it just says system update failed. Am I missing or doing something wrong?

I did the above FAQ but with no luck. Thankfully A10 update came up on FOTA a few days ago and works like a charm. Just a matter of waiting I guess.

At least manual update has to be done first but it doesn't. This guy asked why, couls you pls answer him if you had experience? It's my issue too with WW phone

You can find several posts on this forum from me regarding manual update. In essence the phone was all confused and factory reset put most of the things back to order. Cleaning cache and resetting aps was not enough.

I realized that in Asus website has no global A10 update ROM, only JP and CN SKU. Disappointed 😞
