1) Can you reproduce it reliably? Do you have a method or is it always present? If you have a method, please provide a log and screenshots (I can provide you with the log tool and instructions)
2) When this problem comes up, can you get the phone back to normal? What are the steps?
If anyone needs the log tool, ping me and I can PM you the tool with instructions.
1. I can generally reproduce it if I'm either traveling or if I'm in an area with stellar cellular coverage - let's say, right next to a cell tower. At home, it happens sometimes if I'm in a room near a window I think because I have a few cell towers nearby.
2. The phone goes back to normal on it's own, but it's generally as I continue to travel or move within a building to another location. Sometimes the phone does it on its own when it's stationary, but it's hard to say why and not *completely* predictable.
Software is asking for another modem log, and a video if possible. They're also wonder when you say, "The phone goes back to normal on its own", how long will it take for that to happen?
If anyone else with this UI issue is willing to help, we would like to see logs from you as well. Let me or Anders know and we can send you the log tool with instructions.
I'm assuming @Anders_ASUS meant the next one. The 129 update came out already earlier this week. It may have just shown up for you last night, but it was already available. If they just figured out the issue it's too late for the 129 release.
Comments
Yes, it happens when cellular signal is very good.
Can you please give me more details like which carrier, area?
Thanks!
and which Firmware are you at?
It happens to me too. Firmware 119, AT&T, San Francisco Bay Area.
Just updated to 121. Same randomly disappearing signal indicator.
@LP_ASUS I think we can confirm this is a software issue.
AT&T in the Tampa Bay and Sarasota, Florida area. Firmware 121, Android 10.
@Anders_ASUS
This is good. Thanks! Please keep me updated
I have an open ticket in regards to the problem, @Anders_ASUS . Would you like me to DM you my ticket information?
I've had the phone sent in for repairs and everything regarding the problem.
Users on Reddit are also reporting the same problem:

In EU with O2 carrier I' have never observed disappearing of Signal indicator, so this seems to be an issue just in US.
From what I'm gathering from you guys and on Reddit, it's mainly happening on AT&T.
@Anders_ASUS
Software has a couple of questions.

2) When this problem comes up, can you get the phone back to normal? What are the steps?

You can send the logs to Anders or me.

We've finally been able to find the issue and why it's happening. Will be fixed with next FOTA. Thank you all for your help!
I just received the latest FOTA last night and the issue still hasn't been fixed.

Exactly! ;)
