VoWifi rollout Jio and Airtel - India [Threads Merged]

Jio and Airtel, 2 Major network providers in India have started rolling out VoWifi Services for subscribers. Almost All Major Brands and devices Support VoWifi. But Asus is missing from compatible devices. Basically, in India the Network reception indoors is poor and VoWifi will be a great addition to have. Any Possibility of this being enabled via future updates?

@asus team, In India, Network companies are started VoWiFI service. I don't see this option in ROG 2. Could you explain your decision on implementation this feature?
I assume it is a software feature. If so, we have no hardware dependency.
Could someone from ASUS team explain any complications on providing this feature?
Thanks
The vowifi service is limited to airtel and also for the users having Airtel broadband so if your device has volte then I guess vowifi should also be enabled by default.
Ok. Fyi. Jio also starting testing VoWiFI. Soon will get rolled out.
Are you saying VoWiFI is enabled in Rog 2 by default ? I guess not, because VoWiFI is separate option which has to be enabled manually.
Well for jio volte gets enables by default so vowifi should also be enabled by default.
Jio is testing it airtel has already rolled out although it's in delhi NCR region only
Hi from India,
When Airtel Wifi calling patch will be available and officially listed in Airtel website?
VoWiFI Service is rolled out by Airtel and Jio for few circles. I could see most brand flagship phones are on the compatible list but not even a single phone from ASUS.
Will it be enabled/supported for ASUS flagship phones?
@asus, please clarify this issue, as networks like airtel already rolled out Vo wifi calling feature in all major cities in India. and jio is about to roll out this feature.. Can u guys give update patch of vowifi calling feature ASAP..
How is this thread showing as answered even though it hasn't been resolved?
Because he probably accepted someone's answer.
We're currently talking to both Airtel and Jio about adding this feature. This doesn't mean that it will happen, just that we're looking into it. This is all I can say at this moment.
@Anders_ASUS @LP_ASUS Would like to know the current status or update.
The mods recently mentioned somewhere that ASUS is in talks with carrier networks regarding it's support.
Guys, please don't be so anxious and just have some patience. It is definitely coming. It's not as though we can't live without VoWiFi.
Dial *#*#3642623344#*#*
Wifi calling and native video calling will be activated. Settings are disabled after every reboot.so make sure to run this.
Why Asus rog 2 isn't listed for this new wifi calling facility in India for both Airtel and Jio network ?

Jio's supported list. No Asus ☹️
If there is some feature present on the device does not imply that it will get what it has to offer. Sometimes other factors do contribute to it.
This will just show the settings, it doesn't do a thing. Type #*#4636#*# and inside Phone Information > 3 dot menu > IMS Service Status > Voice over Wi-Fi is still unavailable. This means that it actually doesn't work.
It could mean not available in your area ...join our group for more info
