Lag time on camera button.

With the update to Android 10 , I have been experiencing serious lag time between when I hit the camera button and when the phone takes a picture. It can take 5 seconds. It has been causing me to miss good pictures. Is any else having the same problem? Any suggestions on how to resolve?

As @_jis_ mentioned, this sounds like the 48mp shot time. Are you taking 48 or 12mp shots?
Did clearing the cache for the camera make any improvement?

I shoot with 12MP and save photos to internal storage.

And this has only been happening since a recent update? Previously the 12mp shots would resolve more quickly?
