Detailed description:For more than a year now I can not solve the problem with the inoperability of the laptop after trying to go to sleep. The laptop turns off the screen, the power indicator remains on. You can turn on the laptop only after holding the power button for a long time. What was done: a complete (clean) reinstallation of the system, installing drivers from the Asus website. Reading the discussions posted here, I understand that the problem is common. The only solution that helps: never turn off the screen. Maybe there are other options? I contacted the service center: they believe that there are no hardware problems. Warranty has ended.

Good afternoon. Any other ideas? Maybe upgrade the Intel® Management Engine? Currently, the only 100% working way is to keep the laptop screen on.

I am not sure after installing latest IME , will solve the screen problem or not,
But you can try it
Which version of Intel management engine firmware is flashed to your processor ?
Which version of Intel management engine interface driver is installed in windows?

according to intel inc, for intel i5 7th gen processor, users mustand should have Intel management engine firmware 11.8.92.4222, I can flash to next upgrade version, when its released to public.
I have latest Intel management engine interface driver v2204.2.62.0

Note : Firmware means its like bios , which is directly flashed to intel processor, itcannot be reverted back,
Interface driver means can installed or uninstalled

engine interface version is too old , you can download and install engine interface driver and its suite version from the below direct link
https://www.station-drivers.com/download/intel/mei/intel_mei_2208.16.0.2718(station-drivers.com).zip

but i can't give a download link for the firmware version because your processor model is different.
there are eight types of version
CSME 11.8 CON H DA v11.8.92.4222
CSME 11.8 COR H DA v11.8.92.4222
CSME 11.8 CON LP C NPDM v11.8.92.4222
CSME 11.8 CON LP C YPDM v11.8.92.4222
CSME 11.8 COR LP C NPDM v11.8.92.4222
CSME 11.8 COR LP C YPDM v11.8.92.4222
CSME 11.8 SLM H DA v11.8.86.3877
CSME 11.8 SLM LP C NPDM v11.8.86.3877

Note:: this version 11.8.86.3877 is already flashed to your processor, so your model laptop comes under slim category with corporate users.
CON means Consumer series
COR means Corporate series

Driver updated. Is there anything else you can try?

And so, I most likely solved the problem. The laptop crashed when the display turned off. It didn't happen all the time, but quite often. It could be done by pressing the Fn + f7 key combination.
What was done:
1. Updated Intel management engine interface driver.
2. The laptop has a built-in card reader. I inserted the card and the Alcor Micro USB 2.0 Card Reader appeared. Installed the driver for it.
3. I disabled (without deleting) Intel(R) Audio for displays. I think that this item solved the problem.
The laptop has been working fine for over 2 days now. A little later I will try to clarify which item helped to solve the problem.
