Ha, you have one of the best firmware, which allows a good Rog 5 experience, which even makes you want to buy the future Rog 6 and therefore you want to experience the worst experience and disgust yourself with Asus, I don't like to contradict folks, i'll tell you how to do it
🙂To begin with, with the .86 firmware if the Rog 5 does not find new firmware via OTA for A11, it is that you have a ROG 5 which has been modified. the bootloader has been unlocked for Root or upgrade from a Tencent CN model to WW. these are common cases, there is also this case on some Asus service center returns.
To put Android 12 you must be in A11 with Firmware .226 or .229 and I have already seen cases where it was not possible to install the latest A11 firmware from a too old version, you may have to to install several.
Before you begin, BACK UP your data
Check if you are in WW or other (settings, about, software info (last line)), you should see this
