Force stop Google App, clear it's cache, reboot and then check.
If clearing cache doesn't help, try the same with deleting data too.

The suggestion mamayankag posted is the known fix for this issue.

The Tencent hardware with a worldwide firmware configuration is not supported. There will be software issues like this. More information can be found on the thread here.

Hello. I have the same issue with the same device model.
You can try to install another application to take photos and videos.
I installed Google Camera 7.0 and it works for me, including video recording.

There is no special version for Rog Phone, but you can use version for Zenfone Max Pro.
