Need my ROG 5 repaired.

Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:
- Model Name: ASUS ROG 5
- Firmware Version: WW-31.0810.1226.57
- Rooted or not: Not rooted.
- Frequency of Occurrence: Continuous
Good day.
I have contacted Asus in various locations (North America, India, Korea, China).
My phone has several issues, including:
A) Not charging correctly,
B) USB port not being recognise when connected to a pc,
C) Restarting and staying off when trying to charge,
D) WIFI not working. At all.
I have factory reset the phone and the problems persist.
I have contacted these various locations and the support thereon and they have all directed me to contact China (Place of Origin) as the warranty is a local warranty for them only.
However, I do not live in China and to have the phone repaired it needs to be shipped there and taken into ASUS (BY HAND) which is not possible for me (told to me directly from China ASUS).
I am willing to repair and pay out of pocket regardless of the warranty, however I need someone who can receive the phone via package (posting).

Welcome to the team 😀 time to send your phone to service centre... The rightful place for rog (we all did)
He can't send it to an official service center, none will accept it and it's not specific to ASUS, all manufacturers have the same policy.
Presumably it is a CN device converted to WW
It is up to the Chinese reseller to ensure the follow-up of what he has sold by taking maximum profit, it is not up to the manufacturer to ensure what is an anti-commercial practice of certain resellers.
To stem these practices, all manufacturers have the same policy, even by paying you do not touch the device.
If the seller does not assume these responsibilities, all that remains is to find an unofficial repairer

I had same issues as you ln A12. PC would no longer recognize the phone when plugged in via USB. A horrible uodate6, absolute dog 💩💩💩💩
Currently having the same problem.
Had to transfer all my data by bluetooth....took an entire week.
Yep, I feel your pain. Asus came out with what I have to say is the most useless and pathetic update. I had to buy an SD card , plug it into the phone with adaptor and transfer like that, took around 7 hours. What a joke. Asus are worse than dog 💩

Phone temperature is higher
If you make changes to power management settings/auto start manager & restart the device, the settings get changed back so you have to them all over again
Horrible wifi connection

These are some of the issues I encountered. There will obviously be more.
Asus, you are pathetic. An absolute Joke. Eagerly waiting for the Huawei Mate 50 Pro so I can bin this Asus rubbish. I would rather bin it & lose money rather than sell it to someone & make them waste their money.
I would call Asus Trash, but I wouldn't want to insult my garbage.

I wish I thought of the sd card sooner haha would have saved me some time.
My biggest issue is the inability for the to repair out of warranty via delivery. You HAVE TO hand deliver if it is a local warranty and to that specific location. No warranty? Sorry we can't repair. Full stop.
Take it as a lesson. I highly recommend you go for the new Huawei Mate 50 Pro when it's released or the Black Shark 5 pro, Red magic phones are brilliant too. Asus is going down the drain, exactly where it belongs
I can provide you with several dozen but located in France or Europe, I doubt that it will be useful to you !!, there is no multi-brand telephone repairer in your country?
Many only change batteries or screens, but we have them on every street corner.
Those who do total repairs are less numerous, at least for those who are serious and guarantee their work for 6 months. this one for example directly in store and even by the .net. you can also ask for a quote before going there or sending your device.

The problem is still the cost in the majority of cases when the motherboard is affected, we are not far from the price of a new device.
Your device is still under warranty, I would advise you to see with ASUS a possible gesture and at worst to continue the possibilities of support with the original retailer
I have the Red Magic 5g.
Great phone hardware wise but the smaller battery and generally poor software led me to the ROG...
Too bad too, I really like this phone.

I have contacted the seller. He wants me to ship it back, in addition to paying the duties and tax, which is insane unfortunately.
So my only option is looking elsewhere. As long as the price is not AS MUCH then I don't mind paying.
The other solution is to fix it yourself, I love my Nvidia shied K1 so much that when the USB socket broke I completely equipped myself at ifixit and now, 6 years later, with a new battery, a small Android optimization it is still the mobile device that I appreciate the most, far ahead of the Rog 5
Unfortunately, there have been so many motherboard problems on the Rog 5 that it is unavailable on asus accessories, unlike the majority of other components.
