Same here in Indonesia, still Android 11 with 30.12.112.82 firmware
I'll go to Asus Singapore website to get Android 12. Asus Malaysia still on Android 11
Also in Germany, of course.. I guess we have to downgrade to 30.12.112.72 or 30.12.112.76 and install Android 12 manually from there - but as I understood, downgrading removes all of your data so I'm not really willing to do that
edit: "you can not downgrade the firmware either, e.g., V2.20.40.13 -> V2.19.40.18."

ironic.. why can't we update from .82 to A12 but only .72 without the possibility to downgrade to that version?
update: the firmware that you can download at /ZenFone/Zenfone-8/HelpDesk_BIOS/ now supports updates from firmware version .82. Following the instructions worked for me
Did you manually update? How is it?
Just download and put .zip with update to internal storage. Within few seconds there will be system prompt to update your system.
Just about to manually update, my phone prompt that OTA is ready 😅 .107 version
