Android 12 Zenfone 8 (Feedback)

Good Morning!

I received the android 12 update on my zenfone 8, apparently everything is stable, I didn't notice any bugs or other problems, I thank the asus team for the effort.
The only point I've noticed so far, was a slight nerf on the Multi Core of the device, on android 11 with the geekbenchmark, it scores 3640 on the multi core, on the A12, I don't see it coming out of the 3300. Both tests were made with the "high performance" profile. With an optimization, I believe you will be able to resolve this issue in a quick time.

Many Thanks!

Im saying that battery way way better on A12, that was absolutely crap on A11. But battery life on this phone (which is smaller alot, then my previous oneplus 7 pro - same capacity batteries) is good, but not top notch.

I have a 8,000mah rugged phone. Zenfone 8 battery is much worse.

I have updated to A12 latest firmware. Battery hasn't improved for me, still okayish.
What I found was that the auto refresh rate of the screen is bugging as hell. When on the main screen it stays at 90Hz , doesn't drop to 60. When going to other apps it drops to 60 and stays at 60. This worked on A11 without problems. See screenrecording added.
Another bug I found is that sometimes when putting the phone on loud and after a while again on vibrate, when receiving a notification I still get sound coming through. I have to reboot the phone to make it work properly.
The green dot staying after face unlock happens sometimes, but it seems to work better and better over time.
That's what I have found for the moment.

Screenrecording on auto refreshrate. As mentioned in my previous post, the refresh rate doesn't work at all like it should.

Of course it is worse it has half of the capacity and probably a more power hungry SoC too

Exactly my point: meaningful battery comparisons should be done with phones similar in terms of size, battery size and performance. Otherwise, saying 'well, battery is okish, but my other phone lasts a lot more' is pointless.
