Asus VivoBook (E403S) Internet Connectivity Help

Detailed description:
I recently moved into a new place and had the internet set up. While the technician was here I was able to connect my phone, smart tv and my current laptop to the wifi. After the tech left the router reset itself, as he said it would. My phone and smart tv automatically connected to the wifi once the router was back up. However, my vivobook would not only connect, but wouldn't even show the network as visible. I could see neighbors' networks and could attempt to connect to them, but my network wasn't, and still isn't, available.
I contacted Asus, but as I'm out of warranty they can't help me, which is a whole other can of worms. I find after updates I usually have something amiss (mouse touch pad not working, scrolling not working, etc), so could this be a driver issue.
Thank you,
Caleb
