Sim card not detecting as well as fingerprint scanner not showing on display

I'm not entirely sure about the SIM card issue, but there is an option in settings to turn off the fingerprint scanner on lockscreen, maybe you turned it off somehow?

Honestly I wish I could do this, I'd like to have it off on lockscreen but the option doesn't seem to work for me oddly enough.

It's under Settings -> Security & lock screen -> Fingerprint -> Unlock device -> Show/hide option
