I just hope Asus is sure about going with this. We ROG II users had lost hope and moved on. If they don't continue to provide A11 updates until the software is stable then this is just adding fuel to the fire.
I have experienced a not so good update experience during OnePlus 3T's last major version upgrade and it left a really bad taste. It was one of the reasons I had moved away from OnePlus to Asus.
There might be a fraction of chance if you reboot your device after any major android update, sometimes you might not be able to log in into the device. The only alternative then is to factory reset your device. So always backup your files before any major android update.

As a Rog3 user I can tell you if they pull it off like on the Rog3, the update is going to be one hell of a smooth and clean update.

Yes, you will need to be on the latest A10 prior to A11.

You might be Rooted. Rooted users don't get the update the normal way. You'll need to flash the Full ROM zip
