Detailed description:
I have been using the laptop for 3 years now, and I have been facing this issue since the very beginning. Initially, I was unable to figure out why this was happening and thought I was doing something wrong. Because even in 2021, every game that launches there is no way they will not run on this laptop lower than HIGH graphics settings, but instead every time I play games I get these massive frame drops from 60 or 50 FPS all the way down to 9 or 11 FPS. Every 5 to 10 seconds in-game. I even added an 8GB RAM thinking it might be due to low RAM, but the issue was persistent.

My laptop heats up so much and the FPS drops keep happening. Then 5 months back I found the issue to be Thermal Throttling which is causing this. I opened a case with ASUS and have an engineer visit my home and he changed the thermal paste, and everything was working nice and properly for the first time.

Now again after 5 months, I am back to this same issue and any game you open on this laptop is absolutely unplayable because of these insane frame drops all because of the thermal throttling.

I paid a high amount 4 months back and now again it seems I will have to pay and have another service, without a permanent fix. DO YOU WANT ME TO KEEP PAYING THESE AMOUNTS EVERY 4 months and never fix this problem? And also I cannot undervolt my laptop since ASUS has disabled it with their BIOS update. Here I am stuck with a shitty gaming laptop that cost me near 1 lac rupees where I can't even play games on.

I WANT ASUS TO FIX THIS ASAP, otherwise, I will go to the CONSUMER FORUM regarding this, and I can see many people are complaining about this but ASUS does not care and keep releasing new laptops without addressing them the issues of existing customers.

Hi there,
So even you switch to Turbo mode, you still exceed 95 degree?
Can I have some screenshot of the Armoury Crate when the issue happen?
Did you remove the software that you monitor the temp and status that you used before, and only use Armoury Crate?
Thank you.

Hi Blake,
I am not sure how to check the CPU details on Armory Crate. I have attached a screenshot of Armoury Crate, but unable to see HOME option to view my device details

I am very confident that this issue can be resolved if only I can under-volt the CPU, but since this is a locked CPU from ASUS, the user does not have the ability to do so.
Can you please please resolve this issue for me, this thermal throttling has rendered my Gaming Laptop completely unusable for games.
I am able to perform everything except gaming on this branded Gaming Laptop.
Please help.

Hi there,
We are sorry that volt changing is not available.
Would you mind to reset the device back to factory setting ?
Windows 10 - How to restore the system to factory default settings? | Official Support | ASUS GlobalAnd after the reset, don't install any game, then keep running Windows update and install Armoury Crate only.
Then install 1 game first.
Let's see how it works. Thank you.

Hello reetrocker,
We have the same computer and I've been through the same thing.
The quick solution is to install an old version of the BIOS so that it allows you to lower the voltages again.
I currently have the 308 and it works OK.
309,310,313 DOES NOT WORK.

Then you should disable the automatic updates of windows, and delete the file of the current version already downloaded from your pc,
which is saved since otherwise it will be reinstalled at some point in:
C: \ windows \ system32 \ DriverStore \ Filerepository

Ex: Search fx504

I have version 308 on a USB which I install right away if the bios is updated.

Once you fix that, I recommend using "ThrottleStop".
