Delayed WhatsApp message notification

My rog phone 5 only alerting arrival of WhatsApp message after I unlock the screen (shown in video). There will be no arrival of messages nor notification at all if the phone is idling in lockscreen. I have emailed myasus and done with all the troubleshooting as advised including factory reset. But the problem still remain. May I know anyone could advise on this issue? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I change the setting in WhatsApp app for "Not optimized" under battery. It seems helping yesterday n messages arrived normally without delayed. I'll observe few more days n confirm again if this method works. Thanks again!

1. Battery "not optimized"
2. Optiflex On with "auto select"
3. Lock task for WhatsApp all the time

Finally my WhatsApp operates normally without any delayed message, with settings below:

1. Battery "not optimized"

2. Optiflex On with "auto select"

3. Lock task for WhatsApp all the time

It's too early to confirm this issue solved yesterday. Sadly to inform this problem happen again this morning..
I unlock my phone this morning n start using my phone for YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo mail, browse some others apps, received a direct call; but when I open WhatsApp then only I notice arrival of messages n two missed call, which arrived an hour ago.. this is a disaster like WhatsApp acting without push notification function..

It's too early to confirm this issue solved yesterday. Sadly to inform this problem happen again this morning..

After a month of testing n investigation I'm confirmed that WhatsApp (n maybe other chat app) will "hibernate" not receiving messages besides the above mentioned setting, now this happened once I ON bedtime setting, WhatsApp will not receive messages n calls when bedtime mode OFF after scheduled time. No arrival of messages even when I unlock screen, browsing web, using data for other apps. Arrival of messages n calls from WhatsApp will only notify me when I click into WhatsApp app. Will this be fixed in the upcoming fota? I don't have much expectations from Asus. I guess I will just need to accept this "condition" by not using bedtime mode, cannot optimized for battery; n one handed mode as well which is another issue.
No support from Asus for this issue at all for this moment; As if Asus remain silence it would help avoiding problems, take no responsibility of the issue I faced. Keep hiding n no apologies to deal with its shortcomings as if to remain high status reputation in the market. Brilliant tactic but worst attitude in after sales support. I got better support from other user in this zentalk with my other issues rather than expecting Asus. Thanks
