It was really not expected from Asus ROG 5 since after 1 week of purchase I was facing problems regarding battery & now its time for "WIFI & Hotspot issue"
Does any of u facing this issue:- phone suddenly shut down at 20% & started charging from 0%.
In fact, Asus customer support doesn't respond regarding this new bug, they are just saying u should give ur phone & they will provide ur device after 15-20 days.
Closure news was flash one so couldn't capture the link. But I can give you scenarios why I think Asus will be closing it's operations in India:
1. Some of users already reported in Twitter that few service center are closed from last week.
2. When I called to my nearest service center they denied to provide service and conveyed that now only one service center is operating in one of biggest city of India.
3. They have closed the online chat options in their support app.
4. I tried to contact customer care via call but the call was on hold for almost 45 minutes and then i finally give up & cut the call from my end. This clearly shows either they closed customer care or working with very very limited staff.
5. Asus stopped responding, I tried to call their regional manager, CEO helpdesk but no one bother to pick up my call.
6. My Consumer Court and Consumer Forum case is still pending from 10 days but they don't want to response. Maybe they won't be liable after shutting down operations.
I don't think they consider as potential market. Asus launching sub standard products in India compared to Taiwan, release new products month after global announcement and now stopped providing customer service. Companies like Samsung and Xiaomi provide prompt resolution instead of huge customer base.
I think that's what Asus guys praying and stop bothering them. I just checked the exchange price with another OEM & going to loose 80% of money in just a month. I'm going to fight for my rights at consumer court.
Hi Asus Moderators, if you think there is any brand respect of Asus then come forward and tell users about exact issues. Such a shame for you guys that it's a well known issue after so many users are complaining and no one care to give a single official reply after purchasing flagship device.
It's been nearly 30days no official statement from them. I don't want to change my mother board without any reasons just try to give the next update asap.
Hi guys, I would like to appeal everyone to please raise a complaint in consumer helpline and consumer court then only these deaf people from Asus will listen to consumers. I have already raised complaints in both forum.
Its been 12 days since my phone is at the service center,now they say it ll take 10 more days as they hv ordered the mainboard n they ll recieve it after 7-8 days after that they ll repair,do testing n then return it.
You cant fix the phone, it has to be taken to service center only solution is motherboard replacement. Dont waste ur time take it to the nearest service center you will get it in 4-5 buisness days

New update is here ..but no mentioned of the wifi issue ..am not updating my phone as of now..i just got my phone fixed..
Bro there is solution to it..the hardware needs to be replaced my motherboard got replaced..take it to the service center asap..i did the same..

Even the online store announced 6 days ago by indiatoday has opened on the scheduled date.

If a new firmware update also haven't resolved the issue, then you have to take your phone to the service centre.
Motherboard replacement is the only option.

I stay in navi mumbai so i visited service center at vashi plaza 3 rd floor, its took 4 buisness days got my phone on 4th day.
It was, I saw it coming even before the release of the Rog5.
