Don't know why Asus don't have courage to come forward and accept this issue. Users are getting frustrated with no official information about this. Maybe this move of Asus will end up with loss of 1000s of current and future users. I think they are ready to lose customers but not utter a word.
But I think addressing this issue via official press release is the best thing to gain the trust of users and gain many more. Nobody wants to buy a product of a brand that refuses to serve users after-sales. And now with the release of Zenfone 8 and ROG phones and laptops, the best thing ASUS should do is to accept the mistake and assure the users.
Exactly, that's what I'm asking to release official information during my discussion with different levels of people but they started threatening me about their legal team action and what not. Even their regional manager asked me why are you talking on behalf of other ROG Phone 5 users. What a shame, if such kind of statement coming from regional manager, this clearly shows they don't have amy concern about users who sre facing this serious problem.
They are just trying to control you by mentioning legal action. If they want to take legal action, then they have to first mention what is the basis of this issue. Even then they have to mention everything. If that's the case, then I'm ready to face the legal action. They can't suppress consumer rights.
I just read a news that Asus will be shutting down its operations in India, do we get any support or hardware replacement in that case?? I'm very disappointed after hearing this news. Why did I trust and purchased a flagship grade mobile from Asus.
Yes, indeed and now they are completely shutting down their operations just because of their faulty production line not only in ROG Phone but in laptops as well. Multiple users started complaining wifi issues from Asus laptops as well. They find very easy solution to shut down their indian arm so that they won't be liable for any support or hardware replacement.
They won't release any new firmware for devices sold in India as it's a manufacturing defect and now they don't want to provide any hardware or software support.
I doubt it , can you share your source ? Asus has been selling their motherboards etc. since a long time in india, there is no way they ll shut down their operations ,india is a very big country and a growing market .if pubg has gone through the trouble and established their office in india with a big donation to PM cares fund, there is no way asus will step back.

They have pushed an update today but that does not include the fix
I think we need to involve consumer court and take a legal action against asus as they are neither acknowledging nor resolving the issue
