========================================
Hello
I am trying to get information about my Rog Phone 5's cellular network, I checked spec page in rog.asus.com but looks like there are many versions from A to H but I don't know which one mine is. Is there any way to find out which one is mine because I couldn't find any relevant information in the FAQ.
I live in Japan, I have KDDI/au cellular operator, I moved my SIM card from my old phone to the new one, I was able to get cellular data working but unable do phone calls, I get "Mobile network not available" when trying to call someone. I went to operator they checked my SIM card and plan validity they confirmed that everything is working fine from their part, so I thought it's possibility the incompatibility between my Rog Phone and their network.
Can Someone help me solve this issue please.

I cannot confirm 100% that the last letter of the model is the frequency but I005DA is indeed the one that uses version A frequencies, and it is the most complete in frequency; it must also be called Global version.
I also don't see the connection with CPU-Z 🙂
N79 used by NTT DOCOMO is missing but otherwise it looks correct
Softbank and NTT DOCOMO use 3G for voice
Rakuten Movile only uses VoLTE so the Rog 5 must also be incompatible
KDDI au uses CDMA 1 for voice but stops this service gradually to stop definitively in March 2022 (search document "KDDI to End CDMA 1X WIN Service" to use VoLTE)
If ASUS does not make Rog 5 compatible with VoLTE, you only have 2 choices left, resell it or change operator for NTT DOCOMO or Softbank

Thank you for your support for this case. I hope Asus will add support to Rog Phone 5 in the near future, this way I will have more choices.

@FunBike31 @CraCKerO Just wanted to clear up some confusion regarding model names and versions.
Scroll down to the network section detailing 5G bands: https://rog.asus.com/phones/rog-phone-5-model/spec
ASUS_I005DA = Version F and H in the 'Network Standard' section. (Also version G, which is the Tencent version intended for the Chinese market.)
ASUS_I005DC = Version D in that same breakdown. This is the model with the most frequency bands. (And also the one we're selling in JP if I'm not mistaken.)
@CraCKerO I'll try to get back to you regarding VoLTE status for Japanese operators. 🙂

@Gustav_ASUS
Thank you for your intervention, it is really useful even if the correspondence with versions A, B, C, E are still unknown we could have searched without ever finding.
Fortunately @CraCKerO is in Japan and the 4G and 5G bands used in Japan are present on its I005DA model which should have been I005DC

One last thing, is it possible to identify the version of the bands with the information given when ordering? because ASUS_I005Dx is only on the box and never appears anywhere

@FunBike31 Sorry for the low response rate, I'm still playing catch up after the vacation period.

Versions A, B and C correspond to the Ultimate version, where:
Version A and B = ASUS_I005D, version B is for the US which does not have band 40.
Version C = ASUS_I005DB, Tencent version intended for the Chinese market.

Versions D through H correspond to the standard ROG Phone 5, where:
Version D and E = ASUS_I005DC, version E is for the US which does not have band 40.
Versions F, G, H = ASUS_I005DA, version G is the Tencent version intended for the Chinese market.

Hope that clears things up for you. Let me know if you have any more questions!
