Yep in general all 3 of the phones compared in that article have great versatile cameras
I was genuinely suprised that Asus camera algorithm goes side by side (and better) with biggies like Samsung and iPhones though considering the Zenfone 8 doesn't even have any crazy camera hardware (no telephoto) the main sensor is last year's 686 and the wide angle the true and tested imx 363
Plus the pricing makes zf8s value even better
It maintains better texture than samsung and pixel
It's a pity that there is no company which would create ranking of phone call quality for new devices like dxomark tests camera quality. Maybe then Asus Devs would do something to make it better ;)
I don't have an Zenfone 8 though (unreleased in India yet)
My views are entirely about what I've seen/read about it
So your options are either the Zenfone 8 or S20 fe 5g?
And usage? Performance wise one has 888 and other 865 so not a big deal both are equally good
Ui,jack, speakers and I'd even say the camera the Zenfone 8 has an edge (you can check out the dxo samples between Zenfone 8,S21 and iphone 12 in the article linked above)
But the S20 will be supported for longer (3 android os versions and 4yrs of patches)
Meanwhile Zenfone as of now has 2 os versions and 2.5/3yrs of patches update policy
You can get a S20 fe 5g 8/128 for 50k rn (46-47 in sales maybe)
Zenfone 8 (8/128) is likely to be priced lesser
So it really depends on what your usage and preferences are

Great. There are very mixed results within the competition. Some details are betters some are not so.
And it always will be like this.
These phones are all great!
Once you use manual mode it will beat the others consistently.
But I do see some curious issues such as the odd whitebalance at times. Could be refined a little bit.

Yep it could use more optimisations
But DXOMARK probably tested the phone on an older firmware, Zenfone 8 got an ota as soon as yesterday with camera related optimisations
Promising results for a flagship..! Still waiting for to get hands on it..

For some reason not rolled out yet
Maybe they recalled it,anyways it should be pushed this week
Lost all my hopes for purchasing 8Z in India.
Now looking towards Moto Edge 20 series and forced to consider Realme GT series(though I don't like realme)
I'm not in a hurry to upgrade so can wait for a month or two
Btw moto edge 20 series has only been confirmed to get 1 os upgrade by moto check that out
Realme and bbk family i generally stay away from them :(
I am aware of 1 OS upgrade and I am ok with it.
But I think they have actually reverted their statement and have informed that there will be 2 os Upgrade
https://9to5google.com/2021/07/29/motorola-android-update-policy/
but I am fine if they provide just 1
If you're fine with 1 then Rog 5 is an good option 🤔
had Rog 5 been under 39k to 42 k similar to what Rog 3 is currently priced at
Have gone for Rog 5 without a second thought
Ah ok and Rog phones don't get price cuts quick :(
Rog 3 took an year to get to like 45k
please don't, you are fully aware of the state of the phone and the angry customers, do not recommend people broken phones.
The Zenfone 8 duo this year are very good
The compact 8 nails everything including the price the only nitpick might be avg battery life

@Aryan202
Would you guys recommend Zenfone 8 or not?
I am also considering S20 FE 5g.
The main thing which attracts me in Zenfone 8 is clean UI and tempting 3.5mm headphone jack.
I am not sure how is the camera.
So kindly suggest whether should consider zenfone 8?

thankyou...Will wait
do you have any idea or insider information if 8z will be launched in India in the month of August or will be more delayed?
India today news said august but Asus India still haven't started any teaser
It's likely that they'll atleast provide a date this month but can't really say to be honest
The fact that there's no communication or atleast an date yet from Asus India sucks
Wait, there are phones coming out with the new 200mp sensors and are supposedly even in budget phones out there.
