My keyboard is occasionally not working. Everything seems fine and then suddenly it stops registrering the keys. This has been an ongoing problem, only months after I bought it. I have tried automatically and manually updating the driver.

And can you check in Armoury Crate or MyASUS to see if there is any keyboard firmware that need to be updated or have been updated?

Also, if you have a external keyboard, does the same issue happen?

My BIOS version is American Megatrends Inc. GU502GU.305, 25.09.2019.
It does not seem to be any firmware updates available.
When I experience the problem again, I will try an external keyboard.

So it works if I plug in an external keyboard

The latest BIOS version is 309. So you may consider to update it.
But if the external keyboard is working, then the issue is very likely hardware.
There might be issue with the cable of the keyboard.
