The beta works wonderful on the Zenfone 8, only thing that's keeping me from using it as a daily is due the lack of fingerprint support. Any idea when to that will be fixed?
You say "Beta 2 needed" ? please share what bugs, apps you've developed or even reports you've submitted to Google from the first Beta?..............I'll wait😏,I would suggest you read the first paragraph of all the Beta programs....
"The Android 12 Developer Preview Program gives you access to an early build of Android 12. Joining this program earns you a chance to experience Android 12 ahead of its launch. You can test it, share your feedback, or develop your apps to make them compatible with the official Android 12 platform. Please note that Android 12 Beta is not the final build, so some features might be missing or not working properly".
We do not actively maintain Android 12 AOSP Beta - as it is a developer program to enable developers with Zenfone 8 an early access to the Android 12 level APIs.
ZenUI Android 12 Beta for Zenfone 8 will start at a later date once the Android 12 reaches final release.
For those who know how, you can still try Android 12 Beta 2 using the DSU loader and GSI. This requires unlocking the device
I, unlike some other "must have the latest, etc etc" will not be using a Beta version, I will wait and flash a stable version when it arrives, so to answer your question, none, now enlighten me with your contribution to Android 12,apart from "I need Beta 2".
Sorry if you think it's a smart arse comment as it was not meant to be, it's just I'm fed up with people moaning about not get this or that when they don't even contribute to making the Beta better (which is what a Beta is designed to be), if I offended you then I apologise as it was posted in frustration.
I want to make it extra clear that this is Googles beta. Not ours. What CH_ASUS says above is that some stuff won't work. Which you can clearly see here https://www.asus.com/content/android-12-beta/
Known issues
Fingerprint authentication currently not supported
Face unlock feature currently not supported
No haptic feedback when touching the recent key
Battery status displayed in Settings may be inaccurate
3rd-party apps compatibility issues
It's only when Android 12 with ZenUI beta starts that we will start fixing everything that's not working.
You should only install the current A12 beta if you're curious about Android 12 or if you're a developer.
It's not optimal for normal users to install A12 if this is your only device

It's AOSP beta 1, and a lot of things are not present , neither in the firmware nor in Android 12 as it isnt finished.
This is very much not the ZenUI Beta for Android 12.
Beta 2 is released this week, are you planning to also release an update for the Zenfone 8 ?
I want to know it, too.
+1, beta 2 needed

asus said "no"
And that's not surprised at all.
Asus is never a company cares about android update.
Just look at rog phone 3...
OEMs don't maintain Developer betas regularly it's just a 1 or 2 builds for developers owning the devices
Anyways the main thing will be the final beta based on Zen ui this is just pure aosp
ROG Phone 3 has its Android 11 beta running and progressing.
For Android 12 ZenUI beta , which would be "ASUS software" and not a GSI, that will start after Android 12 hits final release.
