It was mentioned mutiple times alreeeady. It's Google design, not ASUS's. And yes, those manufacturers who strictly keep android clean will have screen call interface locked. It could be because of APIs. There are both advantages and disadvantages of having pure Android. Blame Google for that problem. What can't you understand?

But it is not true at all that it is a Google design, it is an Asus only design choice.
I don't know any other stock Android device which has the same behaviour. All my previous devices are with stock Android experience (like Google Nexus 5X, Xiaomi Mi A1 with Android One, ...).
Solution for me was to install Google Phone and of course Google Contacts I am used to from previous devices with pure Android, now the behaviour for incoming calls, or during calls is correct and stock as it should be.
Unfortunately, Google Phone cannot be installed on the ZF6 from the Play Store, so I'm using the XDA version:

Yes its working correctly. Asus must implement atleast this.
My previous phone had crossed eye logo in bottom left side when i got call what it does just hide incoming call to notification area without disconnecting it so we user can use our phone as usual. It was so convenient

That's what I heard from Asus's staff here and an xda user - it has been changed in Android Pie sources to lock incoming call screen and prevent users from as accidentally hiding call. I said it was mentioned not that I am the source of that. If really no other phone do that, then sorry for misinformation.

Thank you for the honest reply. It was not personal, I just wanted to make the information right 🙂
I have experience with stock Google Android till Pie version from other devices.
Just installing a Google Phone (dialer) solves most of the problems, except this: the power button can't turn off the screen during a call, the proximity sensor keeps it on when it is trigerred. Which is another strange Asus decision, see this my comment in other thread:
