High idle battery drain due to no deep doze

There's plenty of people reporting a higher than expected battery drain on the Zenfone 8, and while we just have to assume the cost of using an 888 snapdragon, there seems to be an issue with the system itself, causing a high idle battery drain.
The phone just never gets into deep doze, no matter how much times it spends turned off. This causes maybe twice the battery drain what it should use while doing nothing.
I'm confident in this being an issue with ZenUI itself, since no amount of wakelocks from apps would cause a literal 0 seconds of deep doze, plus I see no wakelocks or strange behaviour from any apps in either the system battery information or GSam Battery Monitor (an app that's always worked well for me in this regard).
I'm uploading to snapshots from GSam, one from the Zenfone that I just took after leaving the phone alone for 2 and a half hours, and one from my old s10e for comparison. As you can see, the Zenfone just doens't ever enter deep doze, leading, as of this moment, to a 0.7% per hour battery drain while doing nothing, a drain that's easily twice as high as it should be with a 4000 mah battery (for reference the s10e drains about 0.4-0.5% per hour with an older 3000 mah battery)
If we could get a way of fixing this, it'd go a long way to stretch the battery use of the phone.

FYI here's a screenshot from when I drained to 1% (I don't do that often). As you can see there's a lot of stand by drain (18% + 15.4% mobile network standby). Very light use, no AOD or 2nd SIM, wifi off during night, 60Hz mode in evening/night, ... I'm at around 1%/hour idle drain.

There's a lot of standby drain (% wise) perhaps because your phone has been a lot on standby - seeing as how it lasted "2 days" from 100%?

That is true, indeed. But still high compared to previous phones I had. Especially at night when wifi etc. is disabled, even with airplane mode on. I mean, it shouldn't drain that much when the phone almost litterally has to do nothing.
Hope to see some improvements after installing today's update.

Wow. I posted a comment from my overnight stats, then went to edit it to fix a typo, and deleted it by mistake.

In short (if the post is not recoverable, cause I no longer have the snapshots), it did 0.6% per hour over 8:50, did go into deep doze for most of the night (although that didn't help, as we can see), and I showed a few snapshots showing the system battery stats with only the system and kernel as the power drainers, and GSam battery stats showing the usual few short maintenance wakelocks.

Then commented that I believe there's no app running amok, and that really this drain is about twice as much as I expected when buying the phone due to the 4000 mah and knowing what Pixel 5 and Sony phones can do with that size battery, but that it's probably just due to how Asus does Android and the SD888 SoC itself.

PD: I'm editing this post and see no delete option, so I really don't know what happened to that other post.

I think Nokia have to be the best when it comes to long lasting batteries. My wife's Nokia g 10 has a 5050 mAh Battery and it lasts about 6 days, it's incredible

Low resolution, low power... probably very light use...
You can't seriously compare it to Zenfone 8 🙂

I used 3g today instead of 4g today and saw an improvement with doze, in 4g my mobile network and cell standby drain is really high,i think if 5g or 4g don't have a strong signal they drain this phone's battery more then other phones
