VoLTE and Wifi Calling on Zenfone 8

Hi all,
Does anyone know if we can expect enabling VoLTE and Wifi Calling in european networks? I can only see in settings that icons for these options are available to enable at notification bar:


Also as call quality is quite poor, can we expect some improvement with software updates as enabling HD Voice codecs?

For me, after running this code, the wifi calling option appeared (but it does not work). However, VOLTE did not show up. I am in the T-Mobile network and I have active WiFi calling and VOLTE.

I've turned off and on both ticks and both options are working 🙂

For me it is called '4G Calling' and it was turned on after ran the code. Vowifi had to be ticked manually.

Hej,

I am using Orange Flex in PL and VoLTE/VoWiFi seems to be working just fine. I needed to enable switches in mobile network options by this code: *#*#3642623344#*#* (must be re-entered after the reboot)

Call quality is very good. Confirmed by the people I talked to over the phone.

The actual option is called "calling 4g". I have an active VOLTE service in plus and t-mobile. But you cannot make VOLTE quality calls. Anyone else tried PLUS and T-Mobile?

Confirming that it works in Orange PL (nju)

Quality is just perfect (like on all new VoLTE/VoWifi supporting phones)

Now for me Zenfone 8 is the best phone you can buy in 2021 🙂

For Orange PL (other PL operators do not exhibit this nasty habit) this will probably work for just few days, when their system detects VoLTE from 'unsupported' phone it will be blacklisted
