Security update

I have not received security update since January 2021. My Asus Zenfone 5z says security update expired. When can I expect new updates?

First time I experienced this. Used to be on iPhone all this while. Transitioned consciously to Zenfone as I didn't want to spend unnecessarily. And now, it's like we are forced to buy a new phone.
