fan stays on in standby mode

========================
Detailed description:The fan of My ZenBook stays on during standby. The power LED turns off and then starts blinking after closing the lid or going to standby from windows menu, but the fan stays on. I am on BIOS version 309 and all updates applied.
I have contacted support and they have suggested RMA, but I am not that keen on possibly getting a replacement machine and having to reconfigure everything from scratch. Moreover, it is unlikely a hardware issue as under Linux the machine does go to sleep with fan off (resume fails sometimes but this is another story).
Has anybody seen anything similar and can this be fixed without an RMA? Thanks.

Hi there,
Please check your power options under Windows.
There are different stat of "standby", or we can say sleep mode and hibernation.
You can check the options and adjust them to your need.
Thank you.

The power options are set to go to sleep on lid close:

If I press the power button, the same happens: screen goes off, power LED starts blinking but fans stay on.

Hi there,
Well...if you laptop is in sleep mode, and you didn't close the lid, then it possible that your fan will continue to run.
Most of the functions are still working in sleep mode.
Thank you.
